Whole Foods and Black Lives Matter Dispute

black lives matter activist movement protesting against racism and fighting for equalityI think this is a losing issue for the government, unless it opens up free speech in the workplace for everyone.  Whole Foods argument is for “content neutral” speech in the workplace. So far, the courts have generally said employers have the right to regulate the workplace (ex: Muslims wearing hadishas for example-although that is a religious issue), there are exceptions. BLM is a political movement. The employer should have a right generally to ban Democratic or Republican symbols for example on their work gear. I think the current Whole Foods position has merit, although I have NOT read the governments brief on the subject. (that could change my mind). How far can this go? (hair? bathing? political attire? humorous attire that not all will find funny?) Corporations often have a sensitive side to these issues, because offending a customer means less business.
